Louis M. DaSilva, age 50, of 113 Union Street, Bristol, died Sunday, July 12, 2015, in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fayal, the Azores, and a lifelong Bristol resident, he was the son of Maria C. (Moitoso) DaSilva of Bristol and the late Luis G. DaSilva.
Louis was a self-employed painter for a number of years. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church and loved spending time playing the guitar. He is survived in addition to his mother, by a daughter, Krystle C. DaSilva of Providence; a sister, Elizabeth Tattrie (William) of Bristol; a niece, Megan Tattrie; and two nephews, Colin and Nathan Tattrie.
Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, are Saturday, July 18, at 10 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Friday, July 17, from 4 to 7 p.m.
