Margaret (Peggy) Rose (Gallacher) DeAngelis, 80, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at her home in Riverside. She was born in Norwich, England, a daughter of the late Basil and Nellie (Fulcher) Gerow. She was co-owner of Dan’s Wigwam restaurant and DeAngelis Pizzeria in Warren,where she worked alongside her husband Domenic (Dan) DeAngelis until their retirement in 2000.Margaret was the loving mother of Debra (DeAngelis) Conley of Warren, and Stephen DeAngelis of Port Washington, N.Y. She was the sister of Anne Dittmar of Warwick and Ellen Thompson of North Kingstown and leaves three grandchildren, Brittany, Ian and Alexandra.
Margaret was a communicant of St. Mary of the Bay church in Warren and was a long-time member of the German Club.
Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road,Warren, where the family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services are at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary of the Bay Church, Main Street, Warren.
